Hansal Mehta compares India-Pak Covid numbers, man buys him ticket to Karachi. What happened next

Hansal Mehta was severely trolled after the filmmaker took to Twitter to question if the Covid-19 situation is as bad in Pakistan as it is in India. A Twitter user even bought him a ticket to Karachi via Dubai.

On Sunday, as a lockdown was imposed in several parts of India to fight the second wave of the novel coronavirus, Hansal Mehta took to Twitter to question if the conditions were as bad in Pakistan as it is in the country. The filmmaker was heavily trolled on Twitter with several questioning his pointed jibe. One Twitter user even offered Hansal Mehta a one-way ticket to Pakistan if he agreed to move out of India permanently since he considered the situation in Pakistan to be better than India. Following this Twitter conversation, Hansal Mehta has blocked the said user, as well as reported him for inciting communal violence on a public forum. Condition was already laid out in the first tweet also I'm not joking pic.twitter.com/ZyZfXRPBMG Planning to shift ? https://t.co/6OnDAzprZ6 Our nation is ravaged by a deadly virus. Our healthcare system is collapsing. Our dead have no place to be cremated. What do people supposedly supporters/members of the ruling party do? Abuse. Troll. Get well soon dears. Take care. Look after yourselves and your loved ones. Dear @ShjPolice @UAEPoliceHQ Am reporting this person with handle @Dev73513666 whose name is allegedly Dev Mehta. He has issued a fake @emirates ticket, is inciting hate and issuing threats against Muslims. He claims to be based in Sharjah. Please investigate. pic.twitter.com/eAQzhZ2JU3 Inspite of precautions my wife and daughters are symptomatic and are being treated for COVID-19 while we await test results from overworked labs. Please, please stay indoors. All your festivals, all your prayers can be done privately this time. Please take care. PLEASE MASK UP. It all started after Hansal Mehta asked if the Covid situation in Pakistan was as bad as it is in India. Hansal Mehta's question comes days after a section of Twitter users criticised the Centre for a state-organised Kumbh Mela event in Uttar Pradesh that many have termed 'super-spreader' of Covid-19. On the other hand, the ongoing elections in West Bengal, Assam and Tamil Nadu, with minimal adherence to social-distancing rules, have also been known to contribute to the rising numbers of Covid-19. Hansal wrote, "Just wondering. Is it as bad in Pakistan as it is in India currently. The COVID situation I mean (sic)."
