Food safety standards have once again come under scrutiny after customers raised concerns at a Haldiram’s sweets outlet in Hyderabad. Customers alleged that a store of the popular brand in Attapur was selling food items beyond their expiry dates and without mandatory labeling, triggering worries over consumer safety and regulatory compliance.

The issue reportedly came to light when visitors observed that several sweets and packaged food products lacked visible manufacturing and expiry details.
Some customers stated, "Several sweets and other food products at the store did not carry manufacturing dates or expiry details".
The absence of such information raised concerns about transparency and adherence to prescribed food safety norms.
Further allegations added to the seriousness of the matter, with claims that "expired food items were being sold to the public, raising serious concerns about food safety and consumer health".
