Karnataka Unaided PU College Management Association (KUPMA) said that the Department of School Education (Pre-University) has assured of introducing coaching-integrated curriculum in pre-university education in the State.
Rashmi Mahesh, Principal Secretary of the department (pre-university), during a meeting she had with the office-bearers of the KUPMA in Bengaluru on April 2, stated that detailed guidelines for implementing the integrated curriculum would be notified by the department, the association said.
The meeting also had an in-depth discussion on making available the Transfer Certificate through DigiLocker. It was decided that the department would take a call on the same after evaluating the potential benefits and operational challenges of the system.
To strengthen collaboration, the department has proposed quarterly review meetings with the KUPMA, to be held under the chairmanship of the Director of the department. These meetings would aim to facilitate regular dialogue on academic and administrative issues, enabling timely and effective decision-making.
A key proposal discussed was the possibility of introducing competitive examination coaching in government PU colleges in collaboration with the KUPMA, thereby enhancing academic opportunities for students across the State.
