Google has taken action on complaints received from users in India as well as removal actions taken as a result of automated detection processes across Google's platforms.
Google has removed over 1 lakh harmful posts during May-June this year in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021-- IT Rules. The company in its transparency report, highlighted that it removed 634,357 posts for May 2021 and 526,866 for June 2021. Google is publishing monthly transparency report which it will be publishing every month.
