Actor Sri posts shocking content on Instagram; ‘Genuinely concerned about the health and well being of Shri’, says producer
Tamil actor Sri (Shriram Natarajan), known for films like Vazhakku Enn 18/9, Onaayum Aatukuttiyum and Maanagaram, who usually maintains a low profile on social media, has been on the news this week for all the wrong reasons.
The young actor has allegedly been posting shocking and explicit content via his Instagram profile, which has caused worry among his fans. Commenting on his posts, fans mentioned how he has lost a lot of weight and undergone a drastic physical transformation.
With the profile being unverified, some are also skeptical about whether it’s his actual profile. With the actor not being reachable, it has also become difficult to ascertain if the profile belongs to Sri.
Meanwhile, one of the posts from the profile from July last year mentions how Potential Studios, the producers of the actor’s last film Irugapatru (2023), have failed to pay him his dues.
Earlier today, producer SR Prabhu of Potential Studios took to social media to share his concern about the actor. “We ar genuinely concerned about the health and well being of Shri. His family and friends including us are trying to reach him for a long time. It is so unfortunate that there is so much speculation forming around it. But reaching Shri and bring him back to good health will be the first priority. Would highly appreciate if anyone can help us achieve that!! (sic)”, said his tweet.
With fans tagging celebrities like Lokesh Kanagaraj, who directed the actor in Maanagaram under the Instagram posts, it’s currently unclear whether the profile belongs to Sri and, if it does, whether he’s stable or in dire need of help.
Sri made his acting debut with Balaji Sakthivel’s Vazhakku Enn 18/9. After Maanagaram in 2017, the actor made his comeback with Irugapatru in 2023. On the small screen, he played one of the leads in Vijay Television’s Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Season 2. He also took part in the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil.

A vacuum cleaner haunted by a ghost is the kind of one-liner which can draw in a festival audience looking for a little light-hearted fun to fill the time slots available between the “heavier” films which require much closer attention. A useful ghost, the debut feature of Thai filmmaker Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke being screened in the world cinema category at the 30th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), even appears so in the initial hour. Until, the film becomes something more, with strong undercurrents of Thailand’s contemporary political history.

Sustainability is not an add-on, but stamped firmly into the process: every piece is biodegradable, waste-free and unembellished, free from glitter or beads. “Products should be sustainable and biodegradable so that our planet is not harmed,” says Anu Elizabeth Alexander, a student of Sishya, Adyar. At a recent exhibition, the stars she made sold the fastest, followed by the small diamonds. “I would like people to know about the process, how it is created, and that it is sustainable,” says Anu. Infanta Leon from Kotturpuram developed an interest in crochet as a teenager. It was a hobbyhorse that evolved into a steed that would help her embark on a journey of identity-shaping creative engagement. She started making Christmas-themed decor two years ago, spurred by a desire to craft safe, eco-friendly toys for children. “With a toddler at home, and my elder child sensitive to synthetic materials, I wanted to create items that were gentle, durable and tactile,” she explains. Her earliest creations were small amigurumi toys which gradually evolved into ornaments that could adorn Christmas trees with warmth and charm.
