Gehraiyaan song Doobey out now. Deepika Padukone, Siddhant look head-over-heels in love

The first song from Shakun Batra’s upcoming film, Gehraiyaan, released today, January 24. The track is a romantic number that features Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

The makers of Gehraiyaan have released the film’s first song, titled Doobey. The track is a romantic number that features Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. They can be seen enjoying and romancing each other at exotic locations in the song's video. Gehraiyaan is helmed by Shakun Batra and also stars Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa as leads, along with Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles.

After dropping the trailer of Gehraiyaan on Thursday, January 20, the makers have now treated fans to the first track of the film. Titled Doobey, it is a romantic number that will tug the strings of your heart. Starring Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Doobey, is designed by Ankur Tewari, composed by Kabeer Kathpalia a.k.a OAFF and Savera, written by Kausar Munir and sung by Lothika Jha.

Talking about Doobey, Ankur Tewari shared, “From the onset, I knew that the music of Gehraiyaan had to be true to its story and allow the audiences to be absorbed into the world of these characters. Kabeer, Savera and our lyricist Kausar, have all done a phenomenal job at bringing in the youthful essence yet keeping the intrigue intact! And Lothika’s vocals add the right amount of freshness and intensity to the song.”Adding further, musician Kabeer Kathpalia aka OAFF said, “It was an incredible experience to work on this film and its music. The adoration that we have been receiving since the first teaser, has been extremely special and definitely humbling. With Doobey, we wanted to recreate the feeling of freefalling; the heady rush of a new relationship, of being in love. Gehraiyaan is truly a special album for each of us and we’re really hoping the audience enjoys listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

Gehraiyaan is a relationship drama about complex modern relationships. Other than Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, the film also features Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah, and Rajat Kapur. The film has been jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, in association with Jouska Films. Gehraiyaan will release on February 11, on Amazon Prime Video.
