A forest guard feared for his life after a trapped leopard broke free and ran towards him mid-rescue. Users discussed the risks and unpredictability faced by wildlife personnel during conservation work.
A forest guard’s reaction to a leopard lunging towards him has left the internet in splits, with social media users oscillating between laughter and concern over the oddly comical moment recorded on camera.
The now-viral video of the exchange was shared on X by Ghar Ke Kalesh, as the caption of the post read: “The Forest Department had trapped the leopard in a net, but during that time the leopard suddenly lunged at the forest guard.”
In the video, the forest guard can be seen slowly approaching the leopard lying down at a distance when, without warning, the animal springs up and bolts towards him.
Startled by the sudden movement, the guard panics and runs in the opposite direction, while the leopard stops midway and growls. Spectators visible in the background can be heard laughing as the shaken guard attempts to compose himself after the brief scare.
