
Fire breaks out at Naval Dockyard in Mumbai, no casualties reported

In an official statement, the Indian Navy said the fire erupted in one of the waste stockyards inside the dockyard.
A fire broke out inside the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai late Wednesday evening, prompting an emergency response from naval fire services. Officials said the blaze has been brought under control and no casualties have been reported.
The incident occurred within the high-security dockyard premises, initially raising concern due to the sensitive nature of the facility. However, authorities confirmed the situation was swiftly handled, and no major damage has been reported so far.
In an official statement, the Indian Navy said the fire erupted in one of the waste stockyards inside the dockyard.
“A fire broke out in one of the waste stockyards at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai late evening on 12 February 26,” the Navy said.
Naval fire tenders responded immediately and contained the blaze before it could spread further.
“Fire was brought under control in swift action by Naval fire tenders. No casualty has been reported,” the statement added.
