Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are getting married today, February 19, and we are so excited! The couple’s wedding might be a trendsetter. Ask why? As per an IndiaToday.in exclusive, Farhan and Shibani’s wedding is as intimate and personal as it can get. There will be no Marathi or nikah ceremony, contrary to what was shared earlier. The couple will have a simple wedding that includes self-written vows. How beautiful is that!

FARHAN AND SHIBANI ARE GETTING MARRIED TODAY

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are tying the knot today, February 19. They will have an intimate wedding ceremony. A source close to the couple shared with IndiaToday.in, "They wanted to keep it as basic and simple as possible. The guests have also been asked to wear easy colours like pastels and whites for the wedding. There won’t be a nikah or a Marathi wedding. Instead, they have chosen to make it an intimate vow ceremony. Both have written down their vows which they will read out on the main wedding day, which is February 19." All that we are now waiting to see is how Farhan and Sibani will look as groom and bride!

PRE-WEDDING, GUEST LIST, AND MORE

Pre-wedding festivities of the couple had commenced on February 17. After fun-filled mehendi and sangeet ceremonies, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding is taking place today in Khandala. Around 50 odd guests, including Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapur, Samir Kochhar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidwani and Rhea Chakraborty, among others, are attending the wedding. Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are on the guest list too, but there has been no official confirmation on whether they are attending Farhan and Shibani’s D-Day.

WHY AREN’T FARHAN AND SHIBANI GOING FOR A RITUAL-BASED WEDDING?

As we shared, Farhan and Shibani will not have either a Maharashtrian or a nikah ceremony. Wondering why? A source close to the couple shared with IndiaToday.in, “Those who know Farhan and Shibani can vouch for the fact that they both have put their love for each other above their last names. It would have been a cliche for them to do a nikah and a Hindu wedding. But what they have planned instead is truly beautiful."
