DMK re-nominates sitting MLAs in Ramanathapuram district; allots Thiruvadanai to Congress

Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam, from Melaramanadhi village near Kamuthi, is the DMK’s Ramanathapuram district secretary and sitting MLA of the Ramanathapuram constituency.
He previously served as Melaramanadhi panchayat president for 20 years and as DMK’s union secretary for integrated Kamuthi for 10 years.
In Mudukulathur constituency, the current MLA, Minister of Forests and Khadi Board R.S. Rajakannappan, is the candidate for this election too. He is also the party’s State Election Working Committee Chairman.

Stating that the High Court of Karnataka has stayed two of the four conditions imposed by the Dakshina Kannada Regional Transport Authority regrading permits to operate electric autorickshaws in Mangaluru, Youth Electrical Auto Chalakara Sangha, Mangaluru, on Saturday, urged the RTA to extend the March 31 deadline to apply for permits.
