Discord introduces Stage Channels to take on Clubhouse, Twitter Spaces

Discord has introduced Stage channels to make it easier for users to run audio-centric events. The Stage Channels are available for Community services and to enable a community on Discord.

The growing popularity of audio-only platforms in recent times has seen companies like Twitter, Instagram, and Telegram roll out their own such spaces or channels. The trend began after the audio platform Clubhouse gained immense popularity when Tesla CEO Elon Musk posted about it on Twitter. Clubhouse CEO has noted that it will roll out for Android in the coming months. Now, Discord, the voice, video, and text-based platform, too has introduced its audio-only platform for community servers called Stage channels. Discord has introduced Stage channels to make it easier for users to run audio-centric events. The Stage Channels are available for Community services and to enable a community on Discord, users will have to go on Server Settings > Community.
