A Delhi woman was left in tears of happiness after being surprised by her childhood house help during her wedding preparations in a touching video that has gone viral on social media.
Content creator Ridhi Kapur shared the video on Instagram, with the clip shot and edited by Shaadi BTS. Text displayed on the video read, “From taking care of me as a child to watching me get married."
In the video, Kapur is seen preparing for her wedding when her childhood caregiver, whom she affectionately calls “Amma” walks into the room. The bride instantly breaks into a wide smile before rushing forward to hug her tightly, soon dissolving into tears. The amma appears equally emotional, embracing Kapur and repeatedly telling her how beautiful she looks.
Through her tears, Kapur can be heard saying, “You came, I can’t believe you came. Look! I’m getting married.” She adds, “I thought you wouldn’t be coming,” as the two continue to hold each other in a long, heartfelt embrace.
The clip later shows another wholesome moment, with the amma feeding Kapur food with her own hands, emphasising the years of care and affection they have shared.
