
Delhi weather update: City to witness partly cloudy sky today, minimum temperature to settle at 29°C

The weather department has predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder and lightning for today.
While Delhi woke up to a warm Monday morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder and lightning.
The minimum temperature settled at 29.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average in the morning, while the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.
The weather department has announced rainfall for Tuesday. As per PTI, Mahesh Palawat, vice-president of Meteorology and Climate Change at Skymet Weather, tweeted, “Delhi’s maximum temperature was 40.2 degrees Celsius on June 16 and thereafter it was below 40 degrees Celsius. On June 25, the maximum temperature again reached above 40 degrees Celsius. From June 28, rain activities will start in North India along with Delhi and temperatures will drop.”

The air quality has comparatively improved in the national capital. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 127 at 9.05 am, which falls under the moderate category.

This moment comes days after the Supreme Court allowed Harish Rana to die with dignity – a historic first court-ordered case of passive euthanasia in India. The court acknowledged the medical opinion that Rana will never recover and that the tubes that feed him and keep him alive are only prolonging his pain.
