
Delhi University reopening: More students on Day 2 of reopening, attendance to increase next week

On day 2 of the reopening of colleges, Delhi University witnessed an increase in the number of students, and it is expected that the attendance will increase in the upcoming week.
On Friday, Delhi University witnessed more students on the campus a day after colleges reopened. Authorities and volunteers were seen ensuring the necessary Covid-19 restrictions are being followed, while teachers expressed that the attendance will increase in the coming week when the hostelers will return.
"The attendance in the last two days was actually more than we expected, but I believe things will return to pre-Covid times soon," said a professor at the Hindu College, as reported by PTI. A
.Authorities at Gargi College said that the outstation students have begun arriving and the numbers will rise from Monday onwards.
On February 17, Delhi University reopened its colleges for physical classes after almost two years. In March 2020, DU closed its colleges due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
