Delhi High Court encourages the Kapur family to pursue mediation in their ongoing trust dispute, aiming for a peaceful resolution.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday (February 10, 2026) urged the members of the Kapur family to explore mediation to resolve the dispute over the RK Family Trust, valued at several thousand crore rupees, observing that inherited wealth should not become a source of lasting family conflict.
Justice Mini Pushkarna, while hearing multiple applications in relation to the ongoing dispute, observed that “this is a very sorry state of affairs” and suggested the parties involved resolve the dispute in a peaceful manner.

The Judge reminded the parties, “These are the fruits of someone else’s labour and a blessing on you. Let it not turn into a curse”.
The litigation centres on the late Sunjay Kapur’s estate and has pitted his third wife, Ms. Priya Sachdev Kapur, against his mother Ms. Rani Kapur and his former wife, actor Ms. Karisma Kapoor, through their two children.
Ms Priya Kapur claims that the late Sunjay Kapur left his entire personal estate to her under a 2025 will, which she has produced before the Court. The will has been challenged by Ms. Karisma Kapoor’s children as forged, a challenge that has been joined by Ms. Rani Kapur.

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, who on Monday began a four-day march to raise awareness against drug abuse, was joined by Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal in Ferozepur on Tuesday. The move prompted the Congress to question whether a potential reunion of the BJP and the Akali Dal is on the cards ahead of next year’s Assembly election.
