State president of the BJP Nalin Kumar Kateel said in Mangaluru on January 9 that the Congress has no respect for the law of the land.
Responding to the Congress ‘padayatra’ from Makedatu to Bengaluru which started on January 9, Dakshina Kannada MP Kateel said in a statement that the State Government had imposed weekend curfew to safeguard the health of people in view of increasing cases of COVID-19. But the Congress has not followed the COVID-19 protocol and has thus flouted the law. The party has exhibited its “goondaism” and “audacity” by taking out the ‘padayatra’. “It reflected the culture of the Congress,” he said.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Friday pledged to mobilise people in resistance against the BJP-led Union government’s “anti-agricultural worker, anti-farmer, anti-worker, anti-people” laws and policies till they are all repealed, the party said on Friday. In a statement issued here, the CPI(M) said the members took the pledge following a three-day meeting held at Thiruvananthapuram.
