A video that has gone viral on social media shows a group of commuters trying to click videos and pictures of a tiger crossing the road. One of them also tried to click a selfie with the animal.

If you ever see a tiger, what is the first thing that you would do? Run, that will be your reflex. However, that was not applicable to this bunch of commuters who spotted a tiger crossing the road. They stood there to click photos and videos. The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Panna Tiger Reserve. One of them also tried to click a selfie with the tiger without thinking about the consequences. The video was posted on Twitter by Indian Forest Service Officer Susanta Nanda. It has over 57k views.

In the now-viral video, a bunch of young boys can be seen in the middle of the road trying to click photos and videos of a tiger trying to cross the road. One of them even attempted to click a selfie with the animal. The tiger was in close proximity and this encounter could have been fatal. However, regardless of the fact, the commuters did not stop nor did they move away.

“Remember that if you see a large carnivore, it wanted you to see it. It never wanted to be chased. The tiger can maul you to death feeling threatened. Please don’t resort to this weird behaviour,” Susanta Nanda wrote sharing the video.
