
Cold wave hits parts of Madhya Pradesh, mercury plummets to 4 degrees in three places

Parts of Madhya Pradesh, including Bhopal, experienced a cold wave on Saturday, the IMD said. The lowest minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Gwalior, Datia and Nowgaon area.
Parts of Madhya Pradesh including state capital Bhopal experienced a cold wave on Saturday due to chilly winds coming from the North, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said here.
The lowest minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius was recorded in the state in the districts of Gwalior, Datia and in Nowgaon area of Chhatarpur district, said P K Saha, a senior meteorologist at IMD Bhopal office.

The government told the Bombay High Court that the situation remains dynamic due to international developments, and emphasised that it may not be appropriate to deliberate such matters within court proceedings. He assured the bench that the government is taking all necessary remedial measures to ensure that global disruptions do not adversely impact domestic supply of LPG.
