
Clubhouse might ditch invite-only system as audio app reaches 2 million downloads on Google Play Store

Clubhouse started rolling out for Indian users from May 21, a year after it was launched for iOS users in 2020 and has seen20 lakh downloads on Google Play Store in two weeks.
Clubhouse, the audio-only app, which was launched for Android users last month has neared 2 million downloads and might soon ditch the invite-only system. The audio platform which is witnessing growing popularity among users requires an invitation to join the app. Clubhouse had previously noted that the app will become available for everyone this summer. The Android version of the app for Indian and worldwide users was launched last week. It has over 10 million active users at present. “Getting closer to feature parity for our 2m+ Android users every day. Heading for general release sometime this summer! That means the next few updates will be about discovery, notifications, and less visible but very crucial improvements,” Clubhouse in a tweet noted.
Samsung has been teasing its upcoming A-series devices since last week, without officially revealing their names. While speculation has largely pointed to the Galaxy A37 and A57, a lengthy video recently surfaced ahead of any official confirmation, revealing the key specs and pricing of the devices.
