The petition submits that the Respondent is totally unjustified in keeping the money collected from students as examination fees for Class 10 and 12 board examinations that have got cancelled. It is safe to assume that CBSE has received crores of rupees as examination fees, plea states.
CBSE Class 10 and 12 exam fees should be returned to the students, said a civil writ petition in the nature of Public Interest Litigation (PIL) moved in Delhi High Court asking the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and others. The Class 10 and 12 exams were cancelled due to the rising cases of Covid-19 across the country.
