Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (School of Law), Tiruchi, won the overall championship in the inter-collegiate competition programme ‘Vyuha 2026 while that of SRMIST’s Faculty of Science and Humanities (BBA) was declared the winner of the intra-college festival ‘Confluence 2.0’. Sameer Khan, pro Vice-Chancellor, SRM Group of Institutions, spoke.
Scientists, researchers, and academicians from across the state discussed advancements in computational studies and molecular docking at a workshop organised by the Department of Physics, Arignar Anna Government Arts College in Musiri, in association with Raman Research Foundation (RRF) and Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) - Tiruchi Chapter, recently. S. Arumugam, former vice-chancellor, Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai, delivered the keynote address. The workshop featured three technical sessions, with resource persons presenting talks on computational techniques used to study molecular vibrations, integration of artificial intelligence and the role of machine learning in the discovery of functional materials, among other topics.

S. Subbiah, former vice-chancellor, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, encouraged graduating students to utilise their education for the betterment of society and to integrate the values and discipline taught by their teachers and parents in order to be successful in life, at the 25th convocation ceremony organised by Marthupandiyar College, Thanjavur recently. The speaker also urged students to learn from the experiences of B.R. Ambedkar and Swami Vivekananda. Over 400 students received their degrees at the convocation. College founder K. Maruthu Pandian, spoke.
Professor A. Arockiarajan, Department of Applied Mechanics, Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, the process of writing an effective research proposal for the Anusandhan National Research Foundation and best practices to enhance the chances of approval, during a seminar on funding opportunities in India organised by Research and Development Cell of Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology, Pudukottai, recently.
In his address, Mr. Arockiarajan explained key components such as problem identification, defining objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes to students.
