Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka emphasizes government commitment to public welfare, fulfilling 99% of election promises at Pipri meeting.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday asserted that the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has fulfilled ‘99%’ of the promises and guarantees made to the people before the elections.
Addressing a massive public meeting at Pipri in Adilabad district, held amid sweltering heat, to mark the third anniversary of his People’s March, when he was a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, he said the government was committed to spending every paisa solely on public welfare.
“We are running a humane government. None of us has a personal agenda — not the Chief Minister, not myself, nor our Cabinet colleagues. People’s needs and aspirations are our only agenda,” Mr. Vikramarka said.
Drawing a contrast with past governments, he said that unlike political parties that forget their promises after coming to power, the Congress leadership had listened to people’s grievances during public outreach programmes while in the Opposition and continued the same approach after assuming office. He said mechanisms had been put in place to assess the impact of welfare measures on people’s lives.

“Both the Chief Minister and the Ministers hail from villages and are well aware of the hardships faced by farmers and the poor. We are working as servants of the people, not as feudal lords enjoying power. The foundation stones laid today for various works reflect our responsibility towards the people,” the Deputy CM remarked.
