BTS's Jimin tests positive for Covid-19, undergoes appendicitis surgery. Get well soon, say fans

Apart from testing positive, Jimin of BTS has also undergone a surgery procedure for appendicitis.

South Korean boy band BTS's member Jimin has tested positive for Covid-19. In a statement on Monday, BigHit Entertainement, the agency managing the K-pop band, shared the news of Jimin's health. Apart from testing positive, Jimin has also undergone a surgery procedure for appendicitis.

Earlier, three members of BTS, Suga, RM and Jin were diagnosed with Covid-19 after they returned from their tours in the US.

According to the statement by BigHit, "Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for a thorough examination, and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and was tested positive for Covid-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, January 31. According to the medical staff, the surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure. He will be receiving a few days of in-patient treatment for Covid-19 in conjunction with postoperative care."

The statement also mentions that Jimin didn't come in contact with the rest of the six members since his positive results.
