BJP's Annamalai accuses Tamil Nadu intelligence wing of tapping his phone

Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai has alleged that the state intelligence wing has tapped his phone.

Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai has alleged that the state intelligence wing has been tapping his phone for some time.

He said that the protection earlier provided to his office had also been reduced and his Y-category protection was changed to X category.

“The intelligence department is dominating the Tamil Nadu Police. The ADGP of the intelligence wing is acting as the head of police. We condemn this attack. This is the first time that even before an FIR has been filed, police have come to a conclusion,” he said.

“It’s an open secret that the Tamil Nadu intelligence wing dominates the police department. Whatever we say comes out in the public domain. The Tamil Nadu Intelligence team is launching personal attacks on me. I’ve even shared the screenshots of WhatsApp chats to prove this. How can you expect neutrality then,” he asked.

He said that he will soon file a formal complaint.
