Internet banking has made our lives simpler, but sometimes we become soft targets of the hackers who are on the lookout for vulnerable users. The cybercriminals send malware through SMSes that look authentic and then gain illegal access to your private information. One such trojan called Bizarro Banking Trojan has been found and that is stealing financial information and crypto wallets of users. As per Securelist by Kaspersky, Bizarro has originated in Brazil, but now the hackers have targeted new countries including Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. The hackers have made attempts to steal sensitive information from customers of 70 banks from different European and South American countries. “Based on our telemetry, we’ve seen victims of Bizarro in different countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. These statistics again prove the fact that Bizarro’s operators have expanded their interest from Brazil to other countries in South America and Europe,” the researchers said. The report states that Bizarro is sent using a couple of ways to steal information of users— through malicious links that are sent along with spam emails and through an SMS that carries a link to a trojanised app. If you click on the download button, the trojan operators will install the malware in your device which will then allow hackers to steal online banking account credentials using 100 backdoor commands.More Related News
