Renowned singer Billie Eilish has come under fire after an old video of her resurfaced online. In the video, she is seen using anti-Asian slur. On Tuesday, June 22, she issued an apology for it on her Instagram story. People have alleged that the singer mocked Asian accents and also used derogatory term against them. However, in her statement, Billie has said that she is being labelled as something she is not. The video shows the singer singing Tyler the Creator’s song Fish, which contains the slur 'ch**k'. After the video went viral, many people asked for her cancellation. Billie then took to Instagram to provide clarification. Her statement read, “I love you guys, and many of you have been asking me to address this. And this is something that I WANT to address because I’m being labeled something that I am not. There’s a video edit going around of me when I was 13 or 14 where I mouthed a word from a song that at the time I didn’t know was a derogatory term used against members of the Asian community (sic).”More Related News
