‘Bhooth Bangla’ teaser: Akshay Kumar promises to deliver chills and laughs in Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy

The teaser of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla was unveiled by the makers on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the film also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jisshu Sengupta, Manoj Joshi, Mithila Palkar, Asrani and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles.

The teaser gives a glimpse into the world of the film, bringing back memories of Priyadarshan’s trademark slapstick humour. It begins with a quick set of spooky visuals as a voice declares, “No one marries in Mangalpur. Vadhusur will come.” Later, Paresh’s character is seen asking Rajpal about Vadhusur. A punchline follows as the teasers goes on introducing the other actors. It ends with Wamiqa’s character asking Akshay if ghosts exist; he dismisses her question and is then seen screaming animatedly while being pulled violently in a direction.

Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of Akshay and Priyadarshan after 14 years. The two have earlier collaborated on hit comedies like, Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag and Khatta Meetha among others.

The horror-comedy is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R. Kapoor. It will be released in theatres on April 10.
