A 22-year-old woman who lives in a flat in Bengaluru with her two friends has shared a detailed breakdown of her monthly expenses.
In a video posted on Instagram, Sanya Singh introduced herself and her flatmates as “22, new corporate girlies,” showing clips of the three women in their rented 3BHK apartment. She then walked viewers through her expenses.
The rent for the 3BHK comes to Rs 14,000 per person. Maintenance and water bills total Rs 5,100, which works out to Rs 1,700 each. Groceries cost Rs 4,500 a month, or Rs 1,500 per person.
The trio also spends Rs 9,000 on house help – Rs 3,000 each — which covers cooking, cleaning, and bathroom maintenance. Rented furniture adds another Rs 3,000, or Rs 1,000 per person.
In addition, she budgets Rs 2,000 for travel, Rs 5,000 for weekend plans and activities, and Rs 3,000 for shopping and miscellaneous expenses. Altogether, her monthly spending comes to approximately Rs 31,000.
