A stretch of Bengaluru’s Namma Metro is going viral, and not for the usual reasons.
Photos of a sharply sloping section of the under-construction track have sparked comparisons to a roller coaster, with social media users jokingly dubbing it the city’s newest ‘amusement ride’.
The images, first shared on Reddit, show a visibly steep descent along an elevated metro line running parallel to a road before dipping towards ground level.
Construction activity can be seen around the site, suggesting the project is still underway. But that did not stop the internet from having its moment.
Posted on the r/Bangalore subreddit with the cheeky title “Metro-coaster?”, the user asked, “Seen metro climbing steep slopes in Bangalore anywhere yet?”
