A man shared his uncomfortable experience on a Bengaluru private sleeper bus after the conductor threatened to call the cops over his shared berth with his companion.
A late-night bus journey from Bengaluru became uncomfortable for a man after the conductor allegedly objected to him sharing a sleeper berth with a woman travelling with him.
The man shared his experience on the subreddit R/Bangalore, where the man described what unfolded on the private 2x1 AC sleeper bus. He began by writing, “Had a weird experience on a private sleeper bus from Bangalore and wanted to know if this is normal.”

However, the conductor noticed the arrangement and asked us to sit separately.
"When we didn’t immediately move, he started saying things like ‘call your parents’ and ‘we’ll go to the police’, which honestly felt unnecessary and a bit intimidating," he wrore.
In fact, the man claimed they had valid tickets for all three berths and were not disturbing anyone. “We eventually agreed just to avoid drama, but it left a pretty bad taste. We had valid tickets and weren’t causing any disturbance. It felt more like moral policing than any actual rule,” he added.
