
Bangladesh Police identifies man who placed Quran at Durga Puja pandal in Comilla

Based on CCTV footage, police in Bangladesh's Comilla have identified the man who placed a copy of the Quran at a Durga Puja pandal earlier this month.
Days after attacks on Durga Puja pandals claimed at least three lives, the police in Bangladesh's Comilla say they have identified the man responsible for inciting the violence.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Comilla, Farooq Ahmed told Dhaka Tribune that the man in question is 35-year-old Iqbal Hossain. A resident of Sujanagar in Comilla district, Hossain was the one who placed a copy of the Quran at Nanua Dighir Par puja mandap on October 13.
