Pakistan hammered Bangladesh by 128 runs in the second ODI of the three-match series on Friday, March 13 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka to draw level in the rubber. Maaz Sadaqat's all-round brilliance in just his second ODI helped his team make a comeback in the series.
Pakistan drew level with Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series with a 128-run win in the 2nd ODI on Friday, March 13 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. After being put in to bat first, Pakistan were bundled out for 274 in 47.3 overs as Rishad Hossain (3/56, 9.3 overs) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2/34) ran through their batting line-up.
20-year-old Maaz Sadaqat top-scored for his team in just his second ODI, playing a blistering innings of 75 (46), with the help of six fours and five sixes. In reply, Bangladesh were skittled for 114 in 23.3 overs, chasing a DLS-revised target of 243 in 32 overs.
Sadaqat starred with the ball as well, scalping three wickets while giving away 23 runs from his five overs, while captain Shaheen Afridi (2/22, 5 overs) also chipped in with two wickets. Bangladesh’s chase never got going as Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr (1/22, 4 overs) ran through their top order, leaving them reeling at 15/3 in 4.3 overs.

The hosts were 27/3 in 6.3 overs when rain came to their rescue and threatened to wash out the game. However, after some relentless work from the ground staff, the match resumed and Litton Das (41 off 33) and Towhid Hridoy (28 off 38) added 58 runs for the fourth wicket off 48 balls.
However, just when it seemed Bangladesh were clawing their way back into the game, Maaz Sadaqat broke their stand and triggered a collapse.
