Bachchhan Paandey box office collection Day 8: Akshay Kumar film struggles to cross Rs 50 crore mark

Akshay Kumar-starrer Bachchhan Paandey failed to make a mark at the box office. The film has earned Rs 46 crore.

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey is struggling at the box office. Affected by The Kashmir Files, and now RRR, the action drama is struggling to touch the Rs 50 crore mark. Though it opened to mixed reviews, the film is not doing great business.

Bachchhan Paandey, also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, the film struggled to breach the Rs 50 crore mark, within one week of release. According to Box Office India, the film's total earnings stands at Rs 46.75 crore. Although there was a slight improvement in numbers in UP and Bihar, the release of RRR has dashed future hopes of the film reviving.

Bachchhan Paandey is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and written by Nischay Kuttanda and director Farhad Samji. Besides Akshay, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, the film also features Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Abhimanyu Singh, Snehal Daabbi and Saharsh Kumar Shukla. Bachchhan Paandey was earlier set to premiere on December 25, 2020. However, the release date was pushed and Farhad Samji’s directorial will now release theatrically on March 18, 2022. The story revolves around an aspiring director (Kriti) who wants to make a film on a deadly gangster (Akshay).
