Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty courted controversy after calling RRR a 'gay love story.' Now, Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda slammed Resul and wrote that he didn't expect him to stoop so low.
Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty stirred a hornet's nest when he called SS Rajamouli's RRR a gay love story. Though he disabled the reply button on his tweets, netizens called him out for his opinion. Soon, Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda shared Resul's tweet and slammed him. He wrote that he never thought people of 'such accomplishments could stoop so low.'
On July 3, actor-writer Munish Bharadwaj saw Jr NTR and Ram Charan's RRR and called it garbage. He wrote, "Saw 30 minutes of garbage called RRR last night (sic).” Resul responded to his tweet and landed in soup. He wrote, "Gay love story (sic)”, “and @aliaa08 is a prop in that film (sic).”

Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda lashed out at Resul Pookutty and called his comments 'extremely disappointing.' He wrote, "I don't think @RRRMovie is a gay love story as you say but even if it was, is "gay love story" a bad thing? How can you justify using this. Extremely disappointed that someone of your accomplishments can stoop so low! (sic)."
Resul posted Shobu's tweet and asked him not to get personal as he didn't mean to offend anyone. He reacted to Shobu's post and wrote, "Agree totally.Absolutely nothing wrong even if it was. I merely quoted2 my frnd,d banter that already exists in public domain ¬hing else. There is no stooping factor in this.U don’t have2 take it seriously Shobu,I didn’t mean any offense2 any stake holders.I rest my case here! (sic)."
