Auqib Nabi's five-wicket haul in the Ranji Trophy final has earned strong backing from Sourav Ganguly. The former India captain urged selectors to consider the J&K pacer for the England tour this summer.
Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi scripted a sensational five-wicket haul to give his side a major boost in their maiden Ranji Trophy final against Karnataka. The fiery spell, which added to his standout Ranji season, prompted former India captain Sourav Ganguly to urge selectors to consider him for the England tour, calling it the ideal stage for his national debut.
After J&K piled up 584 in the first innings, they bowled Karnataka out for 293 to take a commanding 291-run lead, with Nabi playing a pivotal role through his five-wicket haul against an in-form batting unit. Taking to X after the final, Ganguly tagged chief selector Ajit Agarkar and BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, urging them to consider Nabi for an India call-up.
