Assam schools will be closed till January 30 for all students up to Class 5, and in Guwahati for up to Class 8.

Amid the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state, the Assam government on Friday tightened the curbs in a set of fresh Covid-19 guidelines to check the spread of the Omicron variant in the state. Schools will be closed till January 30 for all students up to Class 5.

Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma also said that the new Assam curfew timings will be from 10 pm to 6 am.
