
APSC paper to now be set in Assamese language too from next year

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) question paper will now be set in Assamese language as well apart from English from the next year onwards.
Striving to reform the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), the Assam government on Saturday has decided that the question papers of the APSC examination will be set in the Assamese language too for the ease of Assamese candidates. 2/2 Today, Govt of Assam has decided that the question papers of this exam will be set out in Assamese too. This will provide the much needed legitimacy to the candidates writing their answers in Assamese.
Addressing a press conference held in Guwahati, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that from next year, the aspirants would be able to write in the APSC preliminary and mains examination in Assamese language too.
