Apple to increase production for iPhone 13, asks suppliers to build 90 million units by the end of 2021

Apple expects stronger sales of the next-generation iPhones as the Covid 19 pandemic chaos begins to settle in some parts of the world and also expects more people to upgrade as the new generation versions will have upgrades for 5G networks.

Apple is looking at increasing the next-generation iPhone production by 20 per cent. According to an online report, Apple is asking its suppliers to ramp up production of the so-called iPhone 13 and expects to ship 90 million units by the end of this year. The report noted that Apple usually orders about 75 million units of a new iPhone for its launch period, which runs from September-October to the end of the year.
