Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor, Anupam Kher praise Mirabai Chanu for winning gold medal in CWG 2022

Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor, Anupam Kher congratulated Mirabai Chanu for making the nation proud. Mirabi won the first gold medal for the country at the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Anupam Kher, Kareena Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma congratulated Mirabai Chanu on winning the country's first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 which is being held in Birmingham. Mirabai made India proud, and Bollywood is pouring her with congratulatory messages.

For the uninitiated, Mirabai Chanu defended her Commonwealth gold with a record-breaking total of 201kg (88kg and113kg) in the 49kg category of women's weightlifting competition.

Anupam Kher penned a long note for Mirabai after she defended her gold. His note, which was written in Hindi, read, "@mirabai_chanu has made the country proud by winning the gold medal at the 2022 #CommonwealthGames. She has increased our reputation all over the world. Have made us proud. Your victory will inspire all of us and especially the youth! Hearty congratulations! Long live Mother India! Jai Hind! Every time our #NationalAnthem plays at such events I feel choked with emotions! (sic)"

Anushka Sharma too congratulated Mirabai Chanu.

Kareena shared a picture of Mirabai and called her a legend.

Taapsee Pannu also shared a congratulatory message on Twitter.
