
Another prediction backfires: Amir reacts angrily as India win T20 World Cup

T20 World Cup final: Mohammad Amir had an angry reaction when asked about getting his prediction wrong after India won the T20 World Cup 2026 title. Amir also criticised New Zealand for handing the trophy to India.
Another India prediction and another loss for Mohammad Amir as Suryakumar Yadav and his men went on to win the T20 World Cup title. Instead of taking his loss graciously, Amir became angry when he was asked about getting things wrong again.

Earlier, the former Pakistan pacer said the Blackcaps would win the final. Ahead of the post-match show, Amir was asked what he had to say as his prediction went wrong. The former Pakistan pacer had an indifferent response as he said India will not be bringing the T20 World Cup trophy to his house.
"They won, that's fine, they'll take the cup home, they won't bring it to my house, well done..." said Amir.

Earlier on in the tournament, Amir predicted that India would lose to South Africa in the Super 8 and got it right. Since then, he kept saying that India wouldn't reach the final and win the title. Because of this, the former Pakistan pacer was slammed by fans and former Indian cricketers like Navjot Singh Sidhu and Mohammed Kaif.
