In a classroom far from smart boards and digital tools, a government school teacher in Parvathipuram has found a simple way to keep students hooked, by turning the days of the week into a song and dance routine that children eagerly follow.
In the video, Dharma stands at the front of the classroom, guiding a group of young students through coordinated words and gestures for each day. The method relies on association rather than memorisation.
Sunday is linked to the sun with the phrase “Sun Sun Sunday.” Monday involves placing a hand on the chest while saying “Mon Mon Monday.” Tuesday is taught using fingers and the rhyme “Two Two Tuesday.”

The children repeat each movement and phrase in unison, turning a basic lesson into a physical activity. The approach has resonated online, with users praising the teacher for keeping students engaged without relying on textbooks or screens.
