Kadapa Police arrested 6 people and seized 100 red sanders logs worth almost Rs 2 crore. A smuggler who was nabbed managed to escape and efforts are on to nab the accused.

Kadapa police seized 100 red sanders logs weighing 2 tonnes worth approximately Rs 2 crore. They also arrested 6 people but one smuggler managed to escape. Efforts are on to nab the accused.

The accused were illegally transporting the red sandalwood to Chennai when the Special Task Force (STF) nabbed them.

A Skoda car was also seized from the smugglers, said Anburajan, Superintendent of Police, Kadapa.
