Anbumani not to react to Ramadoss’ accusations, plans three-day meet with PMK functionaries
Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader Anbumani Ramdoss will not react immediately to his father and party founder S. Ramadoss’ diatribe against him on Thursday (May 29, 2025), party sources said.
According to sources in his camp, Mr. Anbumani has instead planned to meet various office-bearers of the party at a private marriage hall in Sholinganallur over the next three days. He is likely to further stamp his authority on the party.
“There would be no explanation from Dr. Anbumani’s side. Even yesterday (Wednesday) at a meeting of the party’s social media wing, Doctor Ayya (Mr. Ramadoss) had said that everyone should strive to make Dr. Anbumani the Chief Minister. What changed in 24 hours,” a party senior asked.
“Even during the Chithirai Pournami public rally, everybody say how close Dr. Anbumani was with his mother,” he said and claimed: “In fact, Dr. Anbumani’s mother had threatened that she would leave the stage if Dr. Ramadoss attacked Dr. Anbumani.”
The sources said Dr. Anbumani will not utter a “single word” against his father, but will look towards next year’s State Assembly elections and strategise for the same.
