Modern yet traditional, that’s the aesthetic Karishma Tanna swore by for her wedding revelries. The popular actress got hitched to Varun Bangera in a surreal intimate wedding in Mumbai on February 5. Must we say, she had her fashion game on point throughout the revelries as she embraced an array of stunning outfits!
Karishma’s bridal picks oozed modish elegance but with a whiff of traditional accents. Each look exuded a distinctive vibe and was styled carefully by celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adjania. From a bandhani lehenga to an all-white sharara, and a head-turning sequinned lehenga - Karishma Tanna’s wedding wardrobe deserves all your attention. THE WHITE SHARARA
The revelries for the lovebirds began early this week with a haldi ceremony. For the do, actress Karishma Tanna slipped into a white sharara set from the label Sukriti & Aakriti. The sharara is a neo-traditional take on Punjab’s phulkari weave and came adorned with white-on-white embroideries. It featured a short kurti with noodle straps and flared sharara pants. A matching white dupatta with traditional kiran trims on the border was the perfect addition to the look.
Fresh floral jewellery strewn with Tagar Kali is what she chose to accessorize her outfit.
THE BANDHANI LEHENGA
For the vibrant mehendi ceremony, Karishma embraced a traditional look. She opted for a yellow bandhani lehenga by designer Punit Balana. The ensemble featured a flared skirt and a matching blouse with intricate work around the neckline. A solid dupatta with scallop borders rounded off the ensemble.
