Ali Asgar finally reveals why he quit The Kapil Sharma Show

Ali Asgar has revealed why he quit The Kapil Sharma Show. Here's what the actor-comedian said.

Actor and comedian Ali Asgar was an integral part of The Kapil Sharma Show before Kapil and Sunil Grover's infamous incident happened. The actor used to play the role of Nani in the show, headlined by Kapil. While many believed that Ali quit the show because of the incident, he has finally revealed why he took an exit from TKSS. In a new interview, Ali Asgar revealed the real reason why he chose to quit The Kapil Sharma Show. And it has nothing to do with Sunil and Kapil's fight on flight.

Speaking to the Times Of India, Ali Asgar said, "I wasn’t creatively satisfied, as my character (Nani) wasn’t growing. I had intimated the team about it even before going to Australia (2017). I had a lot to perform as Dadi, which wasn’t the case with Nani’s character. When the time came to renew my contract, I shared my apprehensions with the team and told them that I wasn’t too keen on continuing on the show."

The actor further mentioned that the incident between Kapil and Sunil took place around the same time he quit the show. "Maybe, Kapil didn’t know the reason why I quit the show. It may not have reached him. I can’t cheat as an artiste. If I am not happy, how will I entertain the audience? So, it seemed better to leave the show then and if something nice would come up, we could collaborate again," he added.

Meanwhile, Ali Asgar is all set to participate in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10. The actor is doing a dance reality show 14 years after he did Zara Nachke Dikha. Besides Ali, Nia Sharma, Paras Kalnawat, Shilpa Shinde, Amruta Khanwilkar and others will be seen in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10.
