
AINU marks World Kidney Day with rangoli competition

Rangoli competition in Vizag raises awareness about kidney health and prevention on World Kidney Day, promoting early detection and care.
The Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), Vizag, organised a rangoli competition to raise awareness about kidney health and the importance of early detection and prevention of kidney diseases, on the occasion of World Kidney Day, on Sunday.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from visitors, who showcased their creativity through colourful rangoli designs highlighting the themes of kidney health, early screening and preventive care.
Dr. G. Ravindra Varma, managing director, and senior consultant urologist, AINU, emphasised that such initiatives help spread awareness and encourage the community to adopt preventive healthcare practices. They reiterated that early diagnosis and lifestyle modifications can significantly reduce the risk of kidney-related complications.
Dr. Amit Saple, executive director, said that kidney diseases were on the rise and awareness was the strongest defence.
