The government on Wednesday said it extended the India AI Impact Summit 2026 by one more day, till February 21, due to the overwhelming response of visitors and exhibitors. Earlier, the event was set to end on February 20.
The timings for the expo have been extended till 8 pm, instead of 6 pm, to provide a comfortable experience for the people.
However, in view of the restricted events on February 19 (Thursday), the summit will remain closed to the public on Thursday. The expo will remain open to the public on February 20 and 21.
IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said more than three lakh people had registered for the summit so far, calling it a “very strong response” that underscored growing enthusiasm around artificial intelligence. He also said that around 2.5 lakh participants—most of them under 30—visited the exhibition area.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.

India on Monday said it has not held bilateral talks with the United States on deploying naval vessels to secure merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification came after US President Donald Trump urged countries to send warships to keep the strategic waterway open amid tensions with Iran.
