After the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2, Prashanth Neel plans to go bigger with Salaar. The film has Prabhas in the titular role.
Prashanth Neel recently delivered a box office monster with Yash's KGF: Chapter 2. The ace filmmaker now plans to incorporate bigger and possibly even better action sequences in his upcoming film, Salaar, which is in the filming phase now. Salaar is a heavy duty action thriller featuring Prabhas in the titular role.
Prashanth Neel is one of the sought-after filmmakers in South Indian cinema, thanks to KGF 2's success. As per reports, Prashanth Neel is planning to upscale the action sequences in his upcoming film, Salaar, by filming them on a grand scale.
It is heard that the talented filmmaker is conceiving hefty action blocks for Salaar. There are reports that Prashanth might be coming up with action blocks that are bigger and possibly even better than KGF 2. The makers are said to have allotted a big budget for filming the action sequences in Salaar.
Prabhas will next be seen in Adipurush which is announced for theatrical debut on January 12, 2023. He is also collaborating with Prashanth Neel, who is fresh off the success of KGF 2. So, naturally, the onus is on Prabhas and Prashanth to deliver bigger and preferably better action sequences in Salaar.
The film has Shruti Haasan in the female lead role and it is touted to be a full-on action entertainer. Hombale Films, who funded the KGF duology is producing Salaar. Jagapathi Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran are playing pivotal roles in Salaar while Ravi Basrur is composing the music for the film. Salaar is likely to be a Summer 2023 release.
