Raghav Chadha, AAP MP, suspended from Rajya Sabha for misconduct, defiant attitude, and contemptuous conduct. Piyush Goyal, Leader of House, moved motion to take action against Chadha for including members' names in proposed select committee without consent.
AAP MP Raghav Chadha was on Friday suspended from Rajya Sabha for "gross violation of rule, misconduct, defiant attitude and contemptuous conduct", pending a report by the privileges committee.
His suspension followed a motion moved by the Leader of House Piyush Goyal who sought action against the AAP leader for including names of some members of Upper House without their consent in a proposed select committee for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

The motion was passed by a voice vote.

The Centre has rejected reports that the definition of the Aravalli hills was changed to permit large-scale mining, citing a Supreme Court-ordered freeze on new leases. It said a court-approved framework will bring over 90% of the Aravalli region under protected areas and strengthen safeguards against illegal mining. The clarification follows controversy over the “100-metre” criterion used to define hills across states.
