A Cocker Spaniel with a job title? This Bengaluru LinkedIn profile belongs to a pet

A Cocker Spaniel with a job title? This Bengaluru LinkedIn profile belongs to a pet

A Bengaluru dog's unconventional LinkedIn presence has sparked conversation about pets in the workplace and creative approaches to professional networking.

LinkedIn isn’t where you expect to find dogs, let alone ones with job titles. But a Bengaluru-based cocker spaniel is challenging that norm, winning over users with a profile that swaps corporate polish for pure personality.

The profile belongs to Drogo, a cocker spaniel who has unexpectedly become a hit on the professional networking platform. Created by his owner, Shobhit Mohanty, founder of thePack.in, a pet care education platform and community, the account began as a light-hearted, creative experiment to highlight his work. What it ended up doing was bringing much-needed joy to timelines otherwise filled with promotions, performance metrics, and corporate jargon.

Drogo’s profile picture, featuring the cheerful spaniel with his signature floppy ears and expressive eyes, immediately grabs attention. The captions and posts lean into humour and warmth, offering a refreshing contrast to LinkedIn’s usual seriousness. Instead of buzzwords and milestones, the account celebrates everyday moments, playful observations, and the simple happiness that comes with sharing life with a pet.

Shobhit also shares glimpses of his life with Drogo on Instagram, capturing their daily routines and the cocker spaniel’s lively, affectionate personality. In one of the posts Drogo can be seen intently looking at Shobhit’s laptop, just like a manager.

Drogo’s growing popularity on LinkedIn also points to a larger cultural shift in how workplaces are evolving. Across industries, companies are becoming more pet-friendly, recognising the role animals play in reducing stress, improving morale, and creating more humane work environments. From dogs visiting offices to formal pet-friendly policies, the idea that a wagging tail can make the workday better is gaining traction.
